What is Playa de Canyamel Like?
Playa de Canyamel has a fine-grained white sandy beach and crystal-clear water. If you’re boating, the surf conditions make it easy to set anchor. Showers, changing rooms and public toilets are plentiful, and you can rent sunbeds with parasols.
The beach is easily accessible to wheelchairs. Platja de Canyamel is susceptible to overcrowding in high season but usually is pleasant and relaxed due to its location and size.
Location
Playa de Canyamel is on Mallorca’s northeastern coast, approximately 10 km from the nearby towns of Artá and Capdepera. Mountains and forests surround the beach, and the Torrente Canyamel river joins the sea on the beach’s left side. The Coves d’Artà stalactite cave is a 15-minute walk from Canyamel, and a very playable golf course is nearby.
